Refined Joy is a sustainable clothing brand that focusses on the positive things in life. We wish for everyone to live life with a big of smile on their face. We know that when we connect with each other through Joy and Laughter that in that moment Joy and having fun is the only truth there is. This connection leads us to the beauty of the unknown and that is where magical things happen. Living with the perception where there’s only possibilities and where we may lean into what we desire the most. As for us that is Refined Joy.
Did you know that Refined Joy stands for Refinding Refined Joy? Refined and refind sound the same
but mean two different things and both apply to the meaning of our brand.
Who are we & How did we become?
Hello there, I am Jeroen and I created Refined Joy!
But before I tell you more about myself I want to clarify the following: “What you may have noticed is that I use “we” a lot of times (if not all the time)”. This is because I speak for Refined Joy and this felt more natural to do so, but in reality it is just me who is creating, choosing and writing everything for Refined Joy :)
So who am I? I am Jeroen de Haas, I was born in ’99 and I live the Netherlands. The reason why I created Refined Joy is because of my longing for Joy, Light hearted fun and true Connection with each other. Longing to see more Kindness and Support in the world rather than competition and divide.
It all started when I was young. Growing up wasn’t always easy. This affected me quite a lot. For a long period of my life I totally forgot what it was like to have fun at all. I was really disconnected from everything around me and most of all from myself. These times were utterly uneasy and yet there was always this big longing to open my heart again.
This deep longing is what made and makes me pull through all the hardship I endured. My wish is for everyone is to remember their Love, Connection and Joy in their own lives.
and that is why I created Refined Joy
What's our Mission?
In short it actually comes down to having fun because there is already much hardship in the world. We try to switch the negative perspective into a positve one. And how would we do that?
By creating smiling, happy and joyful things! With our clothing we hope to cheer you (and everyone) up whenever you wear, see or even think about our clothing.
Through Joy and Laughter we Connect. That’s our motto and that’s what we fully stand by. With our clothing we hope to inspire everyone to be a leading example of joy <3
